Chelsea Chandler is an American meteorologist working for WHBQ FOX 13 as a meteorologist on weekend mornings and during severe weather since joining the station in November 2022. She kickstarted her career at WMC Action News 5, where she was a traffic anchor.

Chandler joined Christian Brothers University in August 2005 after finishing her studies at Briarcrest Christian High School. In May 2009, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, History, and Music. She then studied Meteorology at Penn State University and Mississippi State University.

After an accident, she briefly took time off, later returning to broadcast sports on sports talk radio with former FOX13 Alum Earle Farrell. The endeavors landed her a job with the Phoenix Suns, where she eventually broadcast the Grizzlies. She has delivered sideline reports for ESPN for Tiger Basketball, color analysis for an international tennis match, and even did a home renovation show.

Besides her broadcast work, Chandler was crowned Miss Tennessee International in 2012. Further, she is a singer and two-time American Idol Hollywood finalist who has performed on The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Tyra Banks Show, and Larry the Cable Guy. Moreover, she has performed at Disneyland, Carnival Cruise Lines and nearly every Opry in the south.

Chandler is also an established equestrian who has won several titles. Further, she represented Tennessee at the world’s largest quarter horse show, The Congress, for multiple years. She became a big advocate for mental health, suicide awareness, and education after losing her brother in 2011 and dealing with her struggles.

Chandler has a passion for saving animals and everything Memphis and history. She is on he Executive Leadership Team for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women.

On September 20, 2024, she said that they were celebrating her mother’s 70th birthday on her Instagram account, suggesting that she was born on September 20, 1954. Her brother passed away in 2011.
