Cheryl Preheim is an American Anchor working with 11Alive News in Atlanta where she serves the station as a Weekday Morning Anchor. Asides from that, she has also previously worked with KUSA-TV where she worked for about 19 years.

Preheim works with 11 Alive News where she serves the station as a Weekday Morning Anchor. She attended the University of Colorado Boulder and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Cheryl states that she is happy to raise her kids in Atlanta and it is an honor to work at a station committed to telling meaningful and important stories in Metro Atlanta and beyond.

She states that she has been part of the NBC family for over two decades and joined the WXIA family from TEGNA’s sister station in Denver known as KUSA. There, she was working as an anchor for the morning news. Asides from this, she has also been honored with the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow Award three times for individual work, and twice for her part in team coverage.

Later on, a few weeks after the surgery, her youngest child was born at Children’s Hospital with a Kidney condition. She explains that they found themselves in intensive care two different times over six weeks, with two different children.

Preheim further explain that they saw purpose in it and it helped them appreciate life in a deeper way. For this reason, she began the “Brave Conquers Fear” profiles in courage based on the motto her son created before his surgery. Together with her husband, they are grateful to use their personal experience to give back to the community. She and her family recently shared their story publicly for the first time.
