He is an award-winning meteorologist with a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry. And is an accredited meteorologist with over a decade of on-air experience. Chris has won; AP Best Weathercast 2017, AP Best Social Media 2017, and AP Best Weathercast 2019.

As a Mesonet Operator, his responsibility was to make daily data checks to diagnose possible equipment failure for each station throughout the state. From May 2012 to May 2014, he was a Research Assistant at Kentucky Mesonet. When he is not working, he can be found out and about in the community.
