Curtis Grevenitz Biography
Curtis Grevenitz is an American meteorologist working for KTVH as the chief meteorologist. After graduating college, he landed his first TV job in October 2003 when he served the NBC station in Helena, Montana.

Grevenitz joined Rutgers University College of Engineering when he finished his high school education. There, he studied Engineering for 2 years before following his true passion: weather. During the end of his sophomore year at Rutgers, he did a weather internship for ABC’s Good Morning America.
During his internship at ABC’s Good Morning America, he briefed the anchors of World News Now and World News This Morning and met a lot of stars on the set. Following his mentor’s footsteps, he joined Lyndon State College in Vermont and graduated as the most accurate forecaster in his class with a Bachelor Of Science degree in May 2003.

Grevenitz works for KTVH as the chief meteorologist. While growing up, he spent most of his time vacationing on Cape Cod and at Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. He found The Weather Channel when he was 8 years old, watching it constantly. His obsession with the channel made his family and friends to give him the nickname “Weatherman”
After graduating college, Grevenitz landed his first TV job in October 2003 when he served the NBC station in Helena, Montana. Even though the weather there was severe, he did a lot of recreational activities, including hiking, fly-fishing, skiing, and observing the weather. Further, he experienced -40 without the wind, baseball-sized hail, wildland fires that burned multiple hundred thousand acres, aurora borealis, and skied in a snowstorm that dropped 72″ in 36 hours.
Grevenitz worked as NBC Montana’s chief meteorologist for 5 years and spent his last year also serving as News Director in the Capital city of Helena. He partook in State and Federal Disaster and Emergency planning, where he delivered spot weather forecasts for firefighters during the summer wildfire season. He was also involved with the community, raising money for multiple charities.

In May 2005, Grevenitz alongside a local humanitarian lived on NBC Montana’s roof to raise $100,000 for the construction of “Farm in the Dell,” an assisted living home for people with developmental disabilities in Kyrgyzstan. During this time, they spent 5 days eating, sleeping, living, and reporting the weather all from the roof while in rained.
