Dana Greene Biography

Dana Greene is an American anchor/reporter working at ABC4 News, where he serves as a sports anchor and reporter. He joined ABC4 News in 2005, after previously working at KMPH in Fresno. 

Greene began his broadcasting career in Santa Barbara after having graduated from UC Santa Barbara. He later relocated to Northern California where he worked at KCPM in Chico before he later relocated to Fresno where he worked at KMPH. In 2005, he was able to secure a job at KTVX  and he fell in love with the state of Utah.

Over the years, he has covered every single Utah Jazz playoff run since 2005, and a number of Utah, BYU, and Utah State bowl games such as Utah’s historic Sugar Bowl win against Alabama. In addition, Greene followed the Aggies and the Utes, Cougars in the NCAA Tournament. He has received an Emmy nomination for reporting sports and he was named Utah Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters /NSSA twice.

Dana won many Society of Professional Journalists awards for sports reporting. He attended UC Santa Barbara where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree and while he was at the university, he played on the lacrosse team. Furthermore, while he studied at Taft High in Woodland Hills, California, he was a baseball player. During his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, hiking with his family, watching and cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Dolphins, and spending ample time with his family.
