Dana Perino is an American political commentator and author working as the co-anchor of the FOX News Channel’s morning news program America’s Newsroom weekdays 9-11 AM/ET and serves as co-host of The Five weekdays 5-6 PM/ET. Prior to this role, she previously served as an anchor of The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino.

Since joining the station, she has enclosed several stories including the FNC’s Democracy 2020 election. In addition to that, she also enclosed the Republican and Democratic National Conventions as well as the vice presidential debates of the 2020 election. She also served as the host of a one-hour Sunday special and interviewed former First Lady Laura Bush and former President George W. Bush.
Perino is also the founder of a women’s leadership program called Minute Mentoring. Minute Mentoring is a program that is designed to foster the next generation of female leaders. In addition to that, she is also the president of Dana Perino and Company and is also very active in child development and global maternal health through the One Campaign and Mercy Ships.
Before joining FNC, she worked for President George W. Bush where she served as the White House press secretary. She was also the first female press secretary to work in a Republican administration. Furthermore, she also spent about seven years working at the Council on Environmental Policy and the Justice Department. In 2010, former President Obama appointed her to the U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors. Prior to that, she previously worked at Capitol Hill where she served as a reporter in Colorado and Illinois.
