David Asman Biography
David Asman is an American anchor/reporter/host working for FNC and FBN. Asman first joined Fox News in 1997 and helped launch FOX Business Network in 2007.
David Asman Career
Asman serves as a guest anchor on programs across FBN and FNC. Prior to this role, she served as the host of FBN’s post-market program Bulls & Bears (weekdays 5-6 PM/ET). He also served as an anchor of the weekday Fox News Live and was tagged as the head of FNC’s documentary unit where he hosted a series in 2005. During his time at this station, he managed to interview several well-known politicians, celebrities, and business tycoons all across the states and beyond.
Asman previously worked for Wall Street Journal where he served as the editorial features editor beginning in 1995. He started working for the newspaper in 1983 and started off by serving as an editorial writer and editing the “Americas” and “Manager’s Journal” columns. In this role, he was also in charge of writing editorials and over 100 articles from Latin America. He was also named senior editor for the Journal’s editorial page.
Asman has also managed to win several awards including Inter-American Press Association’s (IAPA) in 1986 and Tom Wallace Award. He was also awarded the 1995 Daily Gleaner Award and the 1992 IAPA for his articles on free trade and Cuba and Mexico’s economy respectively.
Asman started his journalism career at Prospect Magazine in 1978 where he served as an assistant editor and rose to the executive editor within a year. In 1980, he left the magazines and started working for George Gilder where he start up an economic journal for the Manhattan Institute. In addition to this, he also spent several years working as a radio commentator for Perspective on the Economy and also served as a consultant to the Ford Foundation on African organizations in the United States.
