Deborah Weiner Biography
Deborah Weiner is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for WBAL-TV 11News. She joined the station in May 2002.

Deborah graduated from Baltimore Park Prep. She graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1986. She has earned her master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Deborah Weiner Career
Weiner serves as the co-anchor of WBAL-TV 11 News weeknights at 6 and 11 p.m. and produces reports for the 11 News I-Team. She began her journalism career in 1987 at WYFF-TV in Greenville, South Carolina. Weiner also spent several years working for WBFF-TV in Baltimore where she served as an anchor as well as a reporter. She left the station in 1994 and joined ABC NEWS serving as a Washington Correspondent.
Weiner, later on, joined WBAL-TV in 2002 and enclosed several topics that had to do with social justice and politics. She alongside her colleagues produced a documentary name “Survivors Among Us,” which was one hour long and featured the stories of local Holocaust survivors in 2005. They, later on, produced another documentary by the name of “Rebounding from Loss,” in 2012 which featured a Baltimore high school basketball team after the tragic loss of one of their players.
Weiner has also managed to win several awards ever since she started her journalism career. For instance, she is a recipient of several Emmy awards for in-depth writing and reporting along with many other industry accolades. She also received an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award, for her investigation of Baltimore’s juvenile justice system.
