Derek Steyer is an American journalist working for WFMJ as the weeknight co-anchor and reporter for 21 News 6 and 11 p.m. In addition, he serves the station as the assistant news director. He joined the station in August 2013 and has served the station for more than a decade. Previously, he worked for WSFA 12 News as an assistant sports director for 14 years.
