Dominga Murray is an American journalist who has been working for WFTX as a multiskilled journalist since joining the station in May 2023. Previously, she worked for NBC29 WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia as a reporter, producer, forecaster, and morning anchor for 2 years.

Murray joined Hollins University in 2016 when she finished her high school education. She studied Communication and Media Studies there until 2018. She then transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication-Broadcast Journalism in 2020.

During her reporting career, Murray covered the gubernatorial election in Virginia, including interviews with United States and Virginia Senators. She came to Southwest Florida due to Ian’s decimation and her want to work with an area that needed strong journalism and community-based stories.

Murray has spent her time directing the non-profit foodbank, Helping Hands, in the Commonwealth. Through her work with the Miss America Organization, she has collected thousands of dollars in scholarship funds for female philanthropy. Additionally, she is familiar with the microphone as a seasoned professional emcee and vocalist.
