Dominic Miranda is an American journalist working for WTHR as a sports anchor and multi-skilled journalist since joining the station in April 2023. Previously, he worked for WCTV Tallahassee, Florida as a weekend sports anchor and multimedia journalist for nearly 2 years.
Dominic Miranda Education
Miranda joined DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 2015 when he finished his education at Northwood High School. In 2019, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. In college, he discovered his passion for sports broadcasting.
Miranda played football for three years in college. He sustained two concussions and one torn ACL while playing. He then started doing more on-screen work. Miranda interned at ESPN 1070AM The Fan in Indianapolis and CNN Sports at the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, he shadowed sports TV personalities like Andy Scholes and former Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward. This is where his passion and love for TV sports anchoring was born.

Miranda worked in Terre Haute, Indiana at WTHI-TV Channel 10 as a news and sports multimedia journalist anchor for 2 years before moving to Tallahassee. While in Indiana, he covered the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 election, and the short return of federal executions. He also broadcasted Indiana State University Athletics, spotlighted athlete stories in the Wabash Valley, and was the lead reporter for WTHI’s “In the Zone” and “In the Paint” high school football and basketball programs. He has always been passionate about sports and sports broadcasting.
