Rojas-Castillo works with TMJ4 News where she serves the station as a reporter and multimedia journalist. Prior to this, she was working with WIFR 23 News where he left the station serving as a First at 4 Anchor a role she held between January 2021 and November 2021. Prior to this, he was serving the station in Rockford, Illinois as a Multimedia Journalist and Anchor between October 2018 and January 2021.
She happens to be a first-generation daughter of Dominican immigrants and is honored to be able to represent her community and advocate for diversity in all environments. She is fluent in Spanish and French and hopes to bridge the gap between the newsroom and better tell the stories of the Southeast Wisconsin region.
He is a proud graduate of Trinity College in Harford, CT where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and a proud graduate of Columbia College Chicago where she obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Journalism. Having traveled extensively throughout Europe while studying abroad in Paris, she became captivated by the study of stories, pushing her to want to pursue journalism and explore everything the world has to offer.
She kick-started her on-air career working with KNDU-TV in Tri-Cities, WA where she was serving the station as a reporter. However, she has also previously worked with NBC News in the Midwest bureau where she was serving as an intern. While she was at WIFR-TV, she helped in launching a long-form investigative political series and worked on in-depth pieces. These ranged from the impact of domestic violence on children and infertility.
Asides from this, she also produced and anchored the station’s First at Four newscasts. Away from work, she can be found watching her favorite sitcoms or true crime shows, checking out the newest bookstore, and spending as much time as she can with her friends and family.
