Jaffe works with KOMO-TV where she serves the station as a Reporter and Anchor. Asides from this, she works with Elisa Jaffe Studio/STAR 101.5 Radio in Seattle, Washington where she serves the team as a Voice-Over Artist. She has been working as a Voice Over artist since January 2006.
She happens to be well-known to both viewers and radio listeners in Western Washington. Jaffe earned an Edward R. Murrow award and multiple Emmy Awards for her reporting, producing, and writing. Elisa’s career in Seattle includes working as an executive producer and host of Northwest Afternoon, an award-winning daily talk show. Asides from that, she also hosts the morning drive news program Smart Talk Morning on 570 KVI and does charitable causes.
She has been privileged to interview famous people such as the former Presidents of the United States, Barack Obama, and Jimmy Carter. Asides from this, he has also interviewed Rob Lowe and Ellen DeGeneres who were working as secretaries of state. This is in addition to interviewing royalty, rock stars, and serial killers. She was privileged to launch KOMO-TV station’s first hour-long morning newscast, “The Morning Express.” This was in the year 1989 when she introduced Department of Transportation traffic cameras to the market after using the then-new technology in one of her news reports. She states that during her journalism career, she was privileged to cover the 9-11 attacks, the deadly Northridge, the rise of many reality stars, the fall of famous evangelists, the California earthquake, and the Oklahoma City bombing.
She states that she knows how to draw information out of a wide variety of personalities as her fans can attest to whether she interviewed Simon Cowell, Donald Trump, Jon Bon Jovi, Colin Powell, Dolly Parton, or Tom Cruise. Asides from this, she has also reported for National Public Radio, KOMU TV in Columbia, Missouri, WATE-TV in Knoxville, and Good Morning America.
She is very active in the Greater Seattle community and can often be seen emceeing and supporting fundraisers for a number of organizations. Jaffe enjoys spending her spare time working with non-profits such as Seattle Men’s Chorus, Seattle Women’s Chorus, and the Crisis Clinic of King County. She is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Journalism where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.
