Emily Johnson Biography
Emily Johnson is an American journalist working for WSCS as an investigative reporter since she was promoted in December 2024. She joined the station in July 2022 as a multimedia journalist. Previously, she worked for News-Press Now in St. Joseph, Missouri, as a part-time reporter and multimedia journalist.

Johnson joined the University of Kansas’s William Allen White School of Journalism in 2018 after finishing her studies at Eden Prairie Senior High School. In 2022, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree with a focus in News & Information with a minor in Communications.
While in college, Johnson worked as a reporting intern at KSNT News in Topeka and KAKE News in Wichita. Moreover, she worked as a student anchor and reporter at KUJH News in Lawrence, Kansas. She was also an apprentice senior citizen reporter for The Eudora Times.
