Gabe Ross is an American Meteorologist working for WECT-TV and WSFX serving as a weather forecaster and executive producer. Previously, he served as an in-ring announcer at the United Professional Wrestling Association.

Ross works as an executive producer and a special feature reporter at the First Alert Traffic team at WECT-TV and WSFX in Wilmington. As an executive producer, he is in charge of supervising the First Alert Traffic operations within the WECT News and designing graphics. Gabe joined the station in June 2015 working as a news operations manager behind the scene. On top of this, he has covered major weather events including after hurricanes Dorian and hurricanes Florence. Ross also produced and analyzed weekend morning forecasts tailored to Southeastern North Carolina for on-air and digital platforms.

Before joining WECT News, he worked as an interim assistant news director and technical operations manager at WOUB Public Media in Athens, Ohio. His duties at the station were training new meteorology students and developing video production. Gabe also managed the content of various shows such as “The Bobcat Sports Showcase”, “Hardwood Heroes” and “Newswatch”.

Previously, he worked as an assistant production at Prime Wrestling in Cleveland, Ohio from December 2012 to October 2013. While there, he was in charge of taping backstage wrestler promos and shooting monthly PRIME Wrestling TV taping for air on FOX Sports Time Ohio. Before working for Prime Wrestling, Ross served as a general assignment reporter and weekend weather anchor at WHIZ Media Group. He also created, wrote, and posted multiple stories daily for radio, TV, and Web.

He started his career at WOUB Public Media as a newscast director, assistant production, and expert operator. Gabe also directed a nationally syndicated Ohio University Football Coaches & players show. While at WOUB Public, he was in charge of several roles such as tape ingesting, maintenance on television equipment, and touring. Ross also anchored multiple weather breaking news including the 2010 South-eastern Ohio’s Mid-September tornadoes.

Apart from being a journalist, Ross worked for the United Professional Wrestling Association as an in-ring announcer. During his tenure there, he was responsible for announcing upcoming events and conducting interviews with wrestlers.
