Gannon Medwick is an American Meteorologist working for WECT News and WSFX-TV-26 serving as a chief meteorologist for both stations. Before joining WECT-TV in 2013, he worked for WNCT in Greenville, New Bern where he served as a morning meteorologist.

After completing high school, Gannon attended Penn State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 2003. Currently, he serves as a chief meteorologist for both WECT News and WSFX-TV-26. At WECT-TV, Medwick has covered every major weather event that occurred in Wilmington, Delaware, and outside Delaware. Before joining WECT-TV in 2013, he worked as a morning meteorologist at WNCT in Greenville, New Bern.
Prior to working at WNCT-TV, Gannon also worked in Morehead City in 2004. As a meteorologist, he has covered dozens of weather events that have affected eastern Carolina tropical systems such as winter storms, hurricane landfalls, and tornadoes. For his outstanding work, he was honored with the AMS CBM Awards. Aside from his work as a journalist, Medwick is involved in community work where he works as a member of the North Carolina Science Olympiad. In addition to this, he is also a supporter of science and math education.
