Garrett Bedenbaugh Biography
Garrette Bedenbaugh is an American Broadcast meteorologist working for Action News Jax. He joined the station back in May 2014 as a Weekend Meteorologist.
Garrett Bedenbaugh Education
Bedenbaugh attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) from the American Meteorological Society and is also a member of the National Weather Association.

Bedenbaugh forecasts on CBS47 and FOX30 Action News Jax This Morning from 4:30 AM to 9 AM and CBS47 Action News Jax at Noon Monday to Friday. In 2012, his career started as a meteorologist at the local FOX affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. Hurricanes and Tropical storms are his favorite aspect of meteorology.
His love and passion for the weather began when he was just a young boy and he for sure that he wanted to be a weatherman. He once feared storms and could not stand them and for him being a weatherman is a dream come true. He is a Clinton, South Carolina native but is also very glad to be able to call Jacksonville home.
Bedenbaugh loves the Jacksonville area because he loves tropical forecasting and the weather in Jacksonville is regularly experienced during the spring and summer. He is also very active on his social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. He also enjoys seeing all of the #FirstAlertWX videos and photos from viewers in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Whenever he is not at work he enjoys exploring northeast Florida, talking about his favorite subject: weather, working out at the gym, visiting family and friends, and checking out community events.
