Gary Harris is an American Journalist working for WVUA-TV in Huntsville serving as a sports director. Before joining WVUA-TV, he worked for WDBB 17 in Tuscaloosa where he served as a sports director.

Harris serves as a sports director at WVUA 23 in Huntsville, Alabama. Before working at WVUA 23, he worked for NewsChannel 49 where he served as a sports director in November 1997. Later on, the station rebranded to WJRD 7 before changing to WVUA 23. In July 2001, WVUA 23 was brought by the University of Alabama.
In addition to working at WVUA 23, Harris also works as a daily host at 100.9 FM and TIDE 1029 FM in Tuscaloosa. He has also served as a play-by-play commentator for several channels like RAYCOM, COX Sports, and CSS. As a commentator, he mainly majored in sports such as gymnastics, baseball, football, and basketball.
On top of this, Gary also serves as an anchor on Saturdays during football season and co-hosts alongside Rodney Orr on Tider Insider TV. During his time at WVUA-TV, he has produced multiple shows for the station such as ‘Football Friday.’ For his excellent work, Harris has been honored with numerous awards such as the six-time Associated Press Best Sports Anchor award.
Gray previously served as a sports director at WDBB 17 in Tuscaloosa from September 1985 to November 1986. He began his broadcasting journey at WHMA Channel 40, the CBS affiliate in Anniston working as a sports anchor and reporter. Gary also for other stations in Jackson, Memphis, and Meridian.
