Gayle Ong is an American Reporter/Multimedia Journalist(MMJ)/Producer working for KRON4 News in San Francisco, California where she serves the station as a Reporter and MMJ. She has been working with the station since April 2018.
Gayle Ong Education
Ong is a proud graduate of Brooklyn College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio and Television. While there, she got her first TV job working as an assignment editor for News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn. Asides from this, she has also interned for WABC-TV, and OK! TV, another nationally syndicated show.

Ong works with KRON4 News where she serves the station as a Reporter and Multimedia Journalist. She joined the station working as a Video Journalist. The Bay Area native is thrilled to be back home. She was raised in Union City and is a proud graduate of James Logan High School. Prior to joining the KRON4 News team, she had spent almost 9 years living and working as a journalist in New York State, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Recently, she lived upstate and worked art WTEM-TV in Elmira, New York. There, she was serving the station as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor/producer between January 2017 and April 2018. Asides from this, she has covered the beautiful Finger Lakes region, known for its state parks and award-winning wineries, breweries, and distilleries.
Asides from this, she covers the world of professional auto racing which includes NASCAR. She got a ride along with many professional race car drivers. Gayle states that her most memorable ride was with racing legend Mario Andretti, behind the wheel of an Indy car hitting triple-digit speeds.
Previously, she also worked with CBS Television Distribution in New York City between Oct 2015 and January 2017. There, she was working as an Associate Producer, Promos. Asides from that, she also worked at the nationally syndicated newsmagazine show, Inside Edition. In her role as an Associate Producer, she was writing and produced on-air promos and pre-show teases.
Prior to this, she also worked with FOX News Channel in New York. There she was serving the station as a Production Assistant/Promotions Scheduler, Advertising, and Promotions. During this time, she was also working in promos. Ong has also worked with Public House NYC where she was working as a Server. There, she served the station between February 2011 and December 2016. Gayle has also worked with OK! TV in New York. There, she served the station as a Production Assistant between January 2014 and May 2014.
