Gerry Baker is an American writer, columnist, and anchor/reporter working for FOX Business Network (FBN) and FOX News Channel (FNC). He has been working for the network since joining in 2018 as a contributor.

Baker serves as the host of FBN’s WSJ at Large with Gerry Baker (Fridays, 7:30 PM/ET). Since he joined the network, he has managed to interview several industry tycoons including former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff. He also interviewed Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates, Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama Rahm Emanuel, then-National Security Advisor John Bolton, and President Obama’s 2008 Campaign Manager David Plouffe, just to mention a few.

Baker worked alongside Neil Cavuto and Mario Bartiromo to moderate FBN’s inaugural presidential primary debate. In addition to her roles at FBN and FNC, she also works for the Wall Street Journal where she serves as the Editor-at-Large and writes the “Editor at Large” column for the Review section. She held the Editor-in-Chief title for both The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones from 2013 through 2018. Prior to these roles, he served as the news organization’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief from 2009 to 2013.

Prior to her tenure at The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, he worked for the Times of London where he served as a U.S. editor and an assistant editor. He joined the Financial Times (FT) in 1994 where he served as a Tokyo correspondent and serving as the FT’s chief U.S. commentator. Baker also enclosed economics for the BBC and worked as an economist at the Bank of England and Lloyds. He went to Corpus Christi College, Oxford University where he attained his degree in philosophy, politics, and economics.
