She landed her first television job when she was attending college as a producer for Univision’s Sacramento affiliate. Later on, months after receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from California State University, Stanislaus. Later on, she returned home to Fresno, working as a lead anchor for KFTV, Channel 21.

When working with ABC30 News, she received three Emmy Awards. Asides from working as a co-anchor, she also produces and hosts Latino Life, a half-hour weekly program that focuses on the issues and people making an impact in the Latino community. Among her most memorable stories is covering the visit of Pope John Paul II to Mexico City in 2002 for the canonization of Saint Juan Diego.
