Guy Junker is an American Emmy Award-Winning journalist working for WTAE serving as a sports anchor and reporter. He joined WTAE for the first time in 1984.

Junker attended Baldwin High school where he finished his elementary education in 1974. He then went to Penn State University and the University of Manchester in England, where he worked as an intern for the BBC.

He had also worked with other stations prior to joining WTAE. He previously worked on the Steelers Radio Network for a decade as a pregame, postgame, and halftime show host. Additionally, he provided Penguins and Pirates postgame shows and is the longtime host of “The Penn State Football Story.”
Junker has also managed to win several awards including eight regional Emmy Awards for Best Sports Series. In 2001, he won the Chris Schenkel Award from the NFL. He resides in Pittsburgh with his wife and enjoys spending extra time with his family and friends. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his three children.
