Heidi Werosta Biography
Heidi Werosta is an American meteorologist who has been working for KFYR as a morning meteorologist since joining the station in April 2021. Previously, she worked for WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland, as a meteorologist for nearly 3 years.

Werosta joined Rowan College at Burlington County in 2012 after finishing her high school education. In 2014, she graduated with an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and Science. She then transferred to Rutgers University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and a Geography minor. During her time at Rutgers, she was involved with the New Brunswick Forecasting Game, Meteorology Club, and WeatherWatchers.

Further, she has worked in the broadcast meteorology industry since 2016, launching her career in North Dakota.
Werosta has worked as a forecaster for the Delmarva Peninsula (Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia). Most recently, she worked as the weekend meteorologist at WBOC. Since the tender age of 5, she has always been interested in weather. She just knew that she wanted to be a meteorologist after watching the Weather Channel while growing up. She serves as a member of the American Meteorological Society and is working toward earning the organization’s Seal of Approval.
