Monica Hannan is an American journalist working for KFYR as a co-host of North Dakota Today since 2013. She also serves the station as a host and co-anchor for First News at Five, The Evening Report. In 2004, she was promoted to serve as the station’s news director. She joined the station in 1988 as a reporter and anchor.

Besides broadcasting, Hannan has authored and co-authored multiple books, including The Dream Maker, Dakota Daytrips, The Gift of Death, and More Dakota Daytrips. Her work has also been published in many magazines and newspapers. She has served on the board for North Dakota Catholic Charities.
