Ike Bendavid Biography
Ike Bendavid is an American award-winning reporter working for WCAX-TV as a senior reporter and anchor. Before joining the station in May 2016, he worked as a talk show host at WIUV in Castleton, Vermont.

Bendavid went to school at Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington where he finished with a diploma. After that, he enrolled at Utica College for a year and then transferred to Castleton State University where he graduated cum laude with a degree in communications. While there at the University, Ike was a team member of the Spartans football squad where he won the ECAC Conference Academic Team twice. In addition, he also worked as a play-by-play broadcast and reporter at varsity athletic games and the Video Magazine.

After that, he took a position as a reporter before later working as a news anchor in August 2021. As a senior reporter, Ike delivers heartbreaking news and local stories to the viewers. In addition to this, he also fills in as a sports reporter and anchor where he covers every major sports event in the region.
During his time at WCAX-TV, Bendavid has achieved a lot of awards including the Regional Emmy nomination in 2020 and the Murrow Award for investigative reporting in 2022. He was also honored with a leader award from Castleton State University. Besides this, Ike has also been nominated for being the best entertainment reporter, for Health and Science. Previously, Ike worked for WIUV as a talk show host from January 2016 to May 2016.
He started his career at WPNR as a sports reporter from August 2012 to May 2013. Earlier, Ike spent six months working for WBTN News as a broadcast intern from January 2012 to June 2012. Aside from working as a journalist, Bendavid was also involved in charitable organizations where he worked as a mentor at the Castleton Mentoring Program for two years.
