Jack Royer is an American Anchor/Reporter working with WFLA-TV where he serves the station as a weekend evening anchor for the 6, 8, and 11 PM Newscasts. He has been working with WFLA-TV since March 2022 and previously worked with CBS42 where he was serving the station as a weekday anchor/reporter.

Prior to joining WFLA, he was an anchor/Reporter at WIAT CBS42 in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. He also reported on numerous stories that garnered national attention. Asides from this, he covered Doug Jones and Roy Moore on the campaign trail during the 2018 Special Election for U.S. Senate.
The year 2021 saw him covering Hurricane Ida from New Orleans, Louisiana, and was seen on Nexstar Media Group television stations around America. He has also reported for NewsNation, national news, and entertainment cable networks reaching 75 million television households across the United States.
Before joining CBS42, he was working as an anchor/reporter at WVUA 23 located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and he became the youngest nightly news anchor in Alabama anchoring at the age of 19 years old. He has also covered state politics which include the scandal that led to Governor Robert Bentley’s resignation, ongoing tornado recovery efforts, and Alabama Football. His profile on legendary Alabama football Coach Gene Stallings earned him a Telly Award.
He was raised in a newsroom and with a new family. Royer often tagged along with his dad to work, just a few doors down at WVTM. His father, Mike, is a veteran news anchor in Birmingham. He began his professional broadcasting career broadcasting live high school football for 97.7 The Peach WHPH and was also awarded the Judges Award of Merit from the Alabama Broadcasters Association for Best Small Market Sprtcaster in the year 2012.
