Jamie Ostroff is an American Emmy Award reporter working for WPTV as a chief investigative reporter. She joined the station in January 2024, after working at WCMH-TV as an investigative reporter.

Ostroff graduated from Wootton High School in 2006 and then enrolled at Miami University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Broadcast Journalism in 2009. In 2018, she attended Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law where she attained a master’s degree in legal studies in 2021.

There, she worked as an investigative reporter from January 2021 to January 2024. Previously, Jamie spent two years and eleven months working as an anchor and investigative reporter at KTBS Channel 3 in Shreveport. While there, she covered major breaking news such as government accountability, justice, and crime.
Earlier, Ostroff worked in Birmingham, Alabama as a fill-in anchor and reporter at WIAT 42 from October 2014 to October 2017. Besides this, she also worked at WINK-TV as a video journalist for one year. Jamie started her career as an anchor, producer, and reporter at KIFI News in Idaho Falls, Idaho. During her time there, she was in charge of posting multimedia content, editing, and entertaining live news stories. On top of this, she also served as a news writer at WSVN Channel 7 News in Miami, Florida.
After that, Ostroff moved and landed a role as an intern at WETA from July 2008 to August 2008. She also hosted various documentary series like “Washington in the 60’s”, HBO’s, and “Union Station”. In June 2009, Jamie was hired at MSNBC News as an intern until her departure in August 2009. Later on, she spent seven months working as a desk assistant at the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer from January 2010 to July 2010.
