In 1999, Dennis joined WTVM as the East Alabama Bureau Chief working out of the Opelika newsroom. He then relocated to Columbus where he worked as a senior police, courts & military reporter until 2004. Next, he relocated to Birmingham where he served WBRC Fox 6 as a reporter and fill-in anchor for 3 years.
