Jax Taylor, fully known as Jason Michael Cauchi is a famous American television personality, model, and actor. Previously, Taylor was featured on the Bravo reality television series Vanderpump Rules, until being fired in December 2020.

Taylor attended Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township, Michigan, where he graduated in 1998. He then joined Michigan State University and community college, where he later dropped out to join the Navy. Taylor was in the Navy for 6 months, and 4 days and was trained at a base in Norfolk, Virginia, where he worked in the mess hall prior to being discharged partway through his first tour for undisclosed reasons.

Jax worked as a model in Europe and lived in Miami from 2002 to 2010. He signed with Ford Models in New York City. Taylor has appeared in various magazines such as Trump Magazine, V Man, GQ Japan, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Esquire, 944 Magazine, Instinct, Out, and CosmoGirl. He also has starred in campaigns for Macy’s, Target, JCPenney, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Skechers, Kohl’s, AussieBum, Paul Mitchell, 2(x)ist, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Taco Bell. Taylor then resumed his modeling career by starring in a Jack Victor campaign in 2018. He later collaborated with XCALIBUR BRAND in 2014 to create a shoe and sweater collection. Also in 2014, he created a fitness application that lasted just a couple of months prior to being abandoned.


Taylor began working at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants SUR and Villa Blanca, which gained him a spot on the reality television series Vanderpump Rules in 2013, after the lives of the SUR and Villa Blanca servers. Taylor and Brittany Cartwright got their own spin-off television series Vanderpump Rules: Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky, which followed the couple’s visit to Cartwright’s hometown in Kentucky. They have also appeared in 3 episodes of Vanderpump Rules: Watch with Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor (2022-23) on Peacock.

He then confirmed that he had filmed a new reality show called House of Villains in a May 2023 interview with Rolling Stone. Variety then reported that a Vanderpump Rules spin-off starring Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute was in early development at Bravo.
