Howe serves as the afternoon Traffic Reporter for the Homestretch on CBC Radio One. She has provided upbeat and optimistic traffic reports for the past seven years. Upon college graduation, she moved back to Fort McMurray to work in the oilsands industry. From there, she got an opportunity to work in a chemistry lab with her science background. She worked there for seven years before she was persuaded by a friend to try her hand at broadcasting.
In 2004, she moved to Calgary. Upon college graduating from the Broadcasting Program at Mount Royal College, he started her journalism career in radio and her career with CBC. During her leisure time most mornings, she likes doing her version of ‘iron pumping’ at the gym and hitting the snooze button on her alarm.
