Jermaine Ferrell is an American Sports Journalist working for WFXR-TV in Roanoke, Virginia as the Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter. He joined the station in August 2015 after working as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter for KFDX Channel 3.
Jermaine Ferrell Education
Ferrell started his education at Patrick Henry High School. Later in 1996, Ferrell further enhanced his education at Cameron University with a passion for the fields of communication and broadcast journalism. In the subsequent years, he went to the depths of his knowledge, improved his skills, and expanded his vision. In 2002, he graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Broadcast Journalism.

In January 2019, Ferrell rose to the rank of Sports Director at WFXR and has been able to go through more sports stories.
Before joining the WFXR Sports Team, Ferrell worked as a producer for WSET-TV in Lynchburg, Virginia. His role was to produce a Monday-Friday 11 PM newscast a role that he played for one year since joining in March 2012. Later in September 2013, he joined KFDX Channel 3 in Wichita Falls, Texas as a weekend sports anchor/reporter and later left the station in August 2015 to join WFRX-TV.
