Joe Dana is an American Emmy Award-winning anchor/reporter working for 12News serving as an anchor and watchdog reporter. Prior to him joining the network, he was tenured at the Conservative News Service in Washington D.C.

Dana works for 12News and is part of the 12News I-Team watchdog reporter and anchor. Having tenured at the network for more than a decade, Dana was accorded several awards in reporting broadcasting, and in print. The awards included two first-place awards from the Division Nine Society of Professional Journalists. Later he became the field reporter for a 2015 Emmy Award-winning special report on military healthcare and a 2013 Emmy Award-winning 12News Today newscast.
Being a Glendale native and a fourth-generation Arizonan he was tenured as a teenager, at Apollo High School in Glendale, as a newspaper editor and a youth reporter for The Arizona Republic. Later after high school, he went to the Institute of Political Journalism at Georgetown University. He also went to Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism and print. Prior to him joining the network, he was tenured at the Conservative News Service in Washington D.C.
Having featured several ranging issues from capital murder trials to education funding. Additionally, he has also investigated immigration in southern Arizona and polygamy in northern Arizona. He also has a great belief that his first priority is to hold power brokers and politicians accountable for their actions. During his free time, he tenures at the mentoring program as an ambassador and a volunteer mentor. He also is an advocate for PTSD treatment of first responders in Phoenix.
