John Gumm Biography
John Gumm is an American weather reporter, currently serving as the chief meteorologist at Local 12 News at WKRC-TV, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He joined the station in October 2005 as a meteorologist, before being promoted to chief meteorologist in 2020.

Gumm studied at Glen Este High School, where he obtained his high school diploma. He then attended Valparaiso University from 1993 to 1997, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. He took part in the National Weather Association, Valparaiso University Storm Intercept Team (VUSIT), and WVUR Radio, and also studied mathematics, computer science, and communications.

From April 2010 to January 2021, he worked as the CEO and Co-Founder of Hurricane Baby, LLC, for ten years and ten months. He then joined WKRC-TV, on October 2005, serving as a meteorologist for 14 years and 6 months to March 2020. On March 2020, he was promoted to chief meteorologist at Local 12 News, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has served for 3 years and 6 months to the present.
