John Hook Biography
John Hook is an American anchor/reporter for Fox 10 Phoenix since joining the station in August 1993. He anchors Fox 10 News at 4 pm, 5 pm, and 9 pm. Additionally, Hook hosts the Emmy award-winning “FOX 10 Newsmaker Saturday” every Saturday night at 10:30 p.m.

Hook started his broadcast career on Phoenix radio. Before joining FOX 10, he worked as an anchor and reporter for 8 years in Tucson. He has been covering Arizona news for 36 years. Throughout his career, Hook has won more than a dozen Emmy awards and is a five-time recipient of the Associated Press “Anchor of the Year.” He has covered the elections of 6 Presidents, 12 National Political Conventions, and major breaking stories from the San Francisco earthquake and O-J Simpson to California wildfires and 9/11.
He attended Arizona State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in broadcasting. Hook was inducted into the Hall of Fame at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in 2002. He has written the critically acclaimed book, “Who Killed Bob Crane?”
