John Shrable is an American Meteorologist working for KRON4 News in San Francisco Bay Area serving the station as a Weekday Morning Meteorologist. There, he airs the weekday morning weather news from 4- 10 AM.
John Shrable Career
Shrable works for KRON4 News where he serves the station as a Weekday Morning Meteorologist. Raised in Montana, his fascination with the weather began at a young age. This led him to pursue a degree in communications from Harding University. He obtained his Certification in Broadcast Meteorology from Penn State University in the month of May 2018. Prior to joining the KRON4 News team, he was working for KTWO-TV in Casper Wyoming. There, he was awarded Best Weathercaster by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
Later on, he went to joining Nexstar affiliate station KSEE-24 in Fresno where he served the station as a weekend meteorologist and environmental reporter. While there, he was awarded for his coverage of the toll the state’s drought took on Central Valley agriculture, familiarizing himself with the changing climate of the state.
After calling California home for about 7 years now, he enjoys exploring everything from the coast up and down Hwy 1 to summer and winter days on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada. He states that he is glad to call the Bay Area home and encourages viewers to connect with him on social media.
