Jonathan Yuhas is a well-reputed American Meteorologist working for KSTP. He joined the KSTP 5 Eyewitness News weather team in August 2011. He has been in the weather business for over 30 years and has worked as a meteorologist on different stations. Jonathan says being a meteorologist is a job that is always exciting with many challenges every day and is lucky to have a job he loves in the place he wants to live.

His fascination with the weather started at the age of 7.
While visiting Omaha, a tornado passed near their neighborhood, and after getting back to the Twin Cities, he started learning everything he could about tornadoes and Minnesota weather. Throughout his career, he has chased tornadoes from Minnesota to Texas. In addition to his meteorological career, he has a pilot license, has run 25 marathons, and also trained numerous police and fire department how to respond in severe weather conditions. For over 5 years, he was an Edina Police Reserve Officer and has trained numerous police and fire departments on how to respond in severe weather situations.
