Josh Hodell is an American meteorologist who has been working for WBRE as the chief meteorologist since he was promoted in 2005. He joined the station in September 2003 as the weekend meteorologist. Previously, he worked as a morning meteorologist at WTAJ for 5 years.

Hodell joined Syracuse University in 1994 after finishing his high school education. In 1998, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. The Pittsburgh native kickstarted his career at WJET in Erie, Pennsylvania, as a reporter.
After working in Erie for six months, he relocated to Altoona, where he served WTAJ as a reporter and weather anchor. There, he was influenced by the energy and creativity found in meteorology, returning to school for a Meteorology Certificate. He became affiliated with the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA), and holds both the CBM and NWA Seals of Approval for excellence in broadcast meteorology from the organizations.
