Carnine joined the University of Oklahoma after finishing her studies at Bishop McGuinness High School. Later, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and a minor in History. While in college, she was a sprinter on the OU track and field team, competing in the 4×100, 100, and 200-meter dashes.
Carnine anchored for Sooner Sports Pad, Gameday U, and OU Nightly. Moreover, she was chosen as a Gaylord Ambassador. Moreover, she was on the Dean’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2020 and the fall of 2022. She received the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie in January 2020.
