Kaitlin Knapp is an American journalist working for WFTX as a senior reporter at Fox 4. She joined the station in April 2022 as a multimedia journalist and reporter. Previously, she worked for KXLY in Spokane, Washington as a multimedia journalist for 2 years.

Knapp studied at Boise State University from 2013 to 2014, receiving her Associate Of Arts degree. She then joined University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2015, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2017.

Knapp launched her career in 2017 in Las Vegas, where she was a news producer. While in Las Vegas, she broadcast national stories like the Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting. Further, she won an Emmy nomination for her broadcast. A year later, she moved to Washington from Las Vegas and kickstarted her reporting career in the Tri-Cities. During her two years in Washington, she broadcasted several stories including local high-profile court cases, wildfires, and people in the community changing lives.

Knapp relocated to Spokane, Washington where she continued her reporting career. There, she covered multiple community and state problems like COVID’S effect on women in the workforce, police reform and several national breaking news that stemmed from the Inland Northwest. Besides reporting, she has worked as a fill-in on the weather and anchor desks.
