Kate Bohner Biography

Kate Bohner is an American Banker/Writer/Blogger best known for her time at CNBC where she served the station as a Reporter/Associate Editor for Forbes Magazine. She is now the Chief Communications Officer, Research & Marketing Officer, and Managing Director of DMS Governance since 2013.

Bohner has also written for publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, George, and Marie Claire. This is in addition to co-authoring Donald Trump’s 1997 book Trump: The Art of Comeback. This book hit both the New York Times, the Wall Street, and Businessweek Bestseller lists. In the same year, she became a correspondent for CNBC and launched “Business Center,” with Maria Bartiromo and Tyler Mathisen.

She also went on to write and broadcast “Kate Bohner’s Power File” on CNBC’s Power Launch. The year 1998 saw, Jack Reilly, the former executive producer at CNBC join her and other NBC veterans in founding a startup internet news service, JAGfn, and he provided content similar to that on CNBC.

The year 2000 saw her being recruited as managing editor of digital financial media for E*Trade’s start-up financial news effort, a six-day per week webcast from New York City. This show also aired on Sundays on WNEW 102.7 FM. He also co-founded medical technology start-up Living Independently, Inc./QuietCare Systems(Care Innovations) in the year 2001, where she was serving the station as a chief marketing officer and chief operating officer. The year 2006 saw the company sell to GE Healthcare and Intel.

He also launched “Kate’s Take” on her own YouTube channel KBTVonline in the year 2006. KBTVonline was a four-minute daily videoblog based and shot in South Florida. This show covered a wide range of information from top news stories to quirky pop culture, politics, style, healthcare, and finance.

On Christmas Day of the year 2007, KBTVonline’s video hit number one in 19 countries. She later left South Florida for Los Angeles in the year 2008 and 2010 where she co-founded and became national director of Flybarre, a fitness program part of Flywheel Sports. The year 2012 saw her become chief marketing officer and director of communications at the World Trade Financial Group.

In 2013, Bohner joined DMS Offshore Investment Services Ltd., the world’s largest fund governance firm, where she currently serves as chief communications, research & marketing officer, and managing director. In July 2015, Bohner appeared on CNN to discuss her experience of working with presidential candidate Donald Trump.
