In June 2016, Chastain was arrested for domestic violence at the couple’s Melbourne, Florida home after assaulting her then-girlfriend, Rocio Hernandez. It all started when an altercation began between her and Rocio when she tried kicking Rocio out of their home.
Chastain even threatened to change the locks of the house. After Rocio refused to give in to her demands, Chastain physically attacked her in a fit of rage. She allegedly tried to steal Rocio’s phone and bit her forearm, inner bicep, and leg.
Further, Chastain reportedly held her down, put her keen on her head, and pulled her hair. Following the incident, police were called to their home. She was charged with battery by strangulation-domestic violence. However, the charges were dropped and she paid a $5,000 bond in court.
All the way Chastain said she was innocent and they split after the incident. Later, she told PEOPLE magazine that the incident taught her to value privacy and not to share information about who she’s dating. She also revealed that she is not talking to her ex-girlfriend, Rocio.
