Kayla Thompson is an American Emmy Award-Winning Nominated Journalist working at WJTV News Channel 12 in Jackson, Mississippi, as a morning reporter and anchor. She joined the station in June 2020 after working for WTVA 9 News in Tupelo, MS.

Thompson attended Jacksonville State University where she graduated in 2018 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her time at Jacksonville State, Thompson participated in both soccer and track events and therefore was a member of both the soccer and track teams.
