Keith Marler is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist and host working for FOX 9/KSMP-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined the station in October 2003 and serves as a Meteorologist.

After graduating from high school and earning his High School Diploma, he had to further his education. He joined the University of Maryland in 1990 to pursue his career course. In 1995, he obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Sciences. He also attended the University of Maryland where after completing his studies there, he graduated with his Master of Science (MS) in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology in 1998.

He forecast during weekdays with “Weather on the 9s” from 4:30 am to 9 am on the FOX 9 Morning News, helming with weather duties during “FOX 9 at 11 a.m,” and also hosting the “FOX 9 Buzz” from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Prior to joining the FOX 9 weather team, he worked for WUSA-TV as a meteorologist for 2 years and 10 months.
During his time in college, he had a problem he did not know what to do with his life. He loved science and wanted to teach but wanted more than a small classroom. On one spring evening, he had a moment of career clarity that would guide his actions for years. Marler incorporated his two dream jobs as a teacher and game show host and would weatherman. Finally, he did physics and meteorology. He got his first broadcasting taste when he interned at TV stations in Washington, D.C. His first job as the morning meteorologist was at KBJR-News6 in Duluth, at KBJR-News6 in Duluth indeed. While there, he grew his skills as a meteorologist. In addition to that, he has received the American Meteorological Society’s coveted Seal of Approval.
During his tenure at FOX 9, he has given over 100,000 morning weather reports “On the 9s.” He also likes being involved and active in the community and has taken a role in several charities including The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Heart Association. During his leisure time, he likes spending time with his family and friends, geeks out on comic books, and a good movie. He relishes hanging out with the family in the afternoon.
