Her remarkable reports include the story of Hurricane Ian where she guided the community against the Hurricane and its aftermath which earned her the “Best News Anchor”. In May 2022, Burns was recognized and honored with the prestigious Silver Circle Award from the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
