She began her broadcasting career as an intern at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Lacey also worked as an assignment editor where she was in charge of delivering stories and attending community events. She spent three months working for the station from June 2015 to August 2015. Aside from working as a journalist, Lee served as a sales associate at Old Navy in Norcross, Georgia. During her tenure there, she handled cash registers, controlled the fitting room, and managed the stores. She worked for the company for eleven years from April 2013 to April 2024.
