Kelly O’Connell is an American anchor, reporter, and host working for FOX 9/KSMP-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She joined the station in October 2015 and serves as a Morning News Anchor/ Buzz Host.

While there, she served the station as a morning reporter and anchor for three years and a month from September 2012 to September 2015. She anchored the 4:30 am to 5 am morning newscast, reported in the field, the newsroom, or studio for the second half of the morning broadcast, engaged viewers with personality at the desk and in the field, and delivered live shots to advance the news of the day. Moreover, she was a primary fill-in Anchor for a full morning newscast.
Her career also took her to Cedar Rapids, IA to work for KGAN TV. While there, she served as a reporter and anchor for three years. She was promoted to Anchor of a 3-hour morning show and noon show, and cultivated and produced daily segments and interviews. O’Connell also worked for WRBL-TV in Columbus, Georgia as a reporter. She worked there for two years as a Dayside lead story reporter and Fill-in anchor.
O’Connell is a news junkie, gopher, foodie, and runner. Furthermore, he loves all sports. The fun fact about her is that she drives into work with Velcro curlers in her hair, it is a strange sight to see and other drivers often do a double take.
