Later on, she took a position as a weekend morning reporter working there for three years. During her tenure there, she covered exclusive events such as the Pulse Nightclub massacre, the Parkland school mass shooting, the 2016 Presidential election, and four major hurricanes.

Marier began her broadcasting career as a producer at WDIO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Duluth. Apart from working as a journalist, Kelsey is also involved in various charitable events such as the Brighter Tomorrows Cornhole Tournament and the RT Autism Awareness Foundation Gala. While there, she helps in creating awareness and fundraising to help those who need help.
