Kevin Sjuts Biography
Kevin Sjuts is an American award-winning sportscaster who has served at 10/11 News for more than a decade. Kevin joined the 10/11 NOW sports team as a Weekend Sports Anchor in July 2005 and quickly rose through the ranks to Sports Director. Kevin earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Illinois.
Kevin has received multiple honors during his time at 10/11, including NSSA Nebraska Sportscaster of the Year in 2013 and 2017. He’s also garnered awards from the Associated Press and the Nebraska Broadcasters Association, including three Gold Awards for Best Sportscast in the State. Kevin has won many first-place awards for sports reporting, live play-by-play, and producing various 30-minute sports programs while at 10/11, in addition to his sportscasting.
In 2010, he assisted in the creation of PrepZone Weekly, the state’s only 30-minute high school sports broadcast. Kevin enjoys attending sporting events at all levels, from professional to college to high school, while he is not at work. He also spends time with his family in his spare time.
