Kristina Audencial is an American journalist of Filipina descent working for KUSI FOX 5 as a morning news anchor since October 2016. She rejoined the station in March 2014 as an anchor and fill-in reporter. Previously, she worked for U-T TV as a morning news anchor.

Audencial joined UC San Diego in 2004 when she finished her high school education. In 2006, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Communications.

Audencial has worked for KUSI FOX 5 as a morning news anchor since October 2016. Upon rejoining the station, she first worked as an anchor and fill-in reporter. This serves as her second stint with the station. Her work with the station started when she served the station in 2008 as a morning and weekend producer. She then left the station and moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where she served KREX News Channel 5 as a general assignment reporter, where she shot, edited, and produced her stories.
She rejoined KUSI after serving U-T TV. While there, she assisted in launching the station’s first UT San Diego morning newscast. She had the chance to travel to the Philippines where she reported on recovery endeavors after the ruin of Typhoon Haiyan. For these reports, she won an Emmy award. Before starting her anchoring career, she worked as an intern, writer, and producer at KGTV, the local San Diego ABC affiliate.
Audencial’s kindergarten teacher said that she enriched stories in her class and advised her mother to teach her not to make up stories. Since she was young, she always told stories with energy and enthusiasm. She is active in the Filipino-American community, serving as a host of occasions like “For The Love of The Philippines” and the Fil-Am Festival in San Diego.
