Lana Foss Biography
Lana Foss is an American meteorologist working for WCTI as a weekend morning meteorologist since joining the station in January 2024. Previously, she worked as an intern with Queen City News.

Foss joined Catawba Valley Community College when she finished her high school education. She later graduated with an Associate Of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She then joined the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in August 2020 where she graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology. During college, she worked as an intern with Queen City News in Charlotte where she gained TV experience.

Foss works for WCTI as a weekend morning meteorologist, kickstarting her career. Recently, she has participated in professional and local rodeos as a barrel racer. Since she was younger, she has been fascinated with harsh weather and would watch Tornado Alley” on The Weather Channel nightly.
Her parents would plead with her to get inside the house when storms hit their hometown since she enjoyed them watching in person. At the age of 8, she has already decided on her career choice. She is ready to protect the community and keep them aware of the weather.
